About the session:
The Families First reforms represent a major transformation of children’s services in England, aiming to create a more integrated, family-focused system of support. Education colleagues play a key role in supporting children and their families at every stage, from Family Help and preventative services, through to child protection.
This session is a chance for DSLs from across the education community in Cheshire East to understand more about the reforms.
The webinar will cover:
1. A summary of the Families First reforms and what they mean in practice
2. Learning from Pathfinder areas already implementing the reforms
3. What we’ve done and thought about so far in Cheshire East
4. Opportunities for reflection, comments, and questions
5. Next steps and how to get involved

School Governance – Pupil Premium Training

Time:

Venue:

Both Ofsted and the DfE’s view is that when schools get it right for their most vulnerable, they get it right for everyone. Therefore, Pupil premium funding can play a vital role in supporting and developing a school’s ‘vulnerable-first’ approach and helping schools close the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.
Delivered by the Director of an EEF (Education Endowment Foundation) Research School, this course aims to guide governors through the purpose of Pupil Premium funding, who is eligible, the statutory requirements and the ways in which it can be used.
